I first started running in 2008 and gradually got more serious about the sport, culminating in me joining Lordshill Road Runners in Spring 2021, on the recommendation of a good friend, who was a coach at the club. As an LRR member, I’ve benefitted from the skills of the run leaders/coaches at the club, the sessions they put on and am still (despite my middle age) able to run a new PB occasionally. Since joining I’ve been amazed at the number of different sessions and socials the club puts on, the wide range of abilities, how welcoming everyone is and how many Lordshill vests are at local races. I’m hoping to continue the good work done by Alan Graham in managing the clubs finances and also contribute in some non financial ways to the running of the Committee and the Club. Outside of LRR, I’m a Chartered Accountant at Ordnance Survey, so my appointment as Treasurer is a bit of a ‘busman’s holiday’ for me.
