The Lordshill 10k Road Race is back for 2023 (02.07.2023)!
As a club we are very much aware that there is a cost-of-living crisis and that is why this year we are offering our 10K race (the last one of the HRRL season) for just £10 affiliated or £12 for non- affiliated runners (you must be at least 15 years old on the date of the event to enter) and this will still include a race memento, as well as spot prizes and bananas, for those that like them!
Come and join us in early July (Sunday 2nd) when the days are long, for our friendly and fast 10K road race (definitely one for a PB if you have the form). We will again be starting and finishing at the Oasis Academy (SO16 0XN), with a 09:30 start time – we think a good balance before it gets too warm, but also accommodating our friends from the Isle of Wight – and with free parking at the nearby Ordnance Survey HQ (SO16 0AS). At the race HQ we will have music, provided by our resident DJ, various refreshments, including a hot drink vendor and an ice cream van; Run Company Southampton will have a stall at the event, as well as providing some of the spot prizes. At just £1 per kilometre, why not join us on Sunday 2nd July 2023 (maximum entries: 1,000). We have now closed for online entries, but you can sign up on the day (from 08:00 – 09:00, but no later than 9am), for the same low entry fee of just £10 affiliated (please bring proof of URN) or £12 for non- affiliated runners – but CASH ONLY and please bring the correct amount.
Please note that due to the extremely cheap price for this race we will not offer any refunds; any surplus we make goes into the club charity fund. We do allow for swaps and affiliated places are often offered on the facebook HRRL Number Swaps group. If you have found someone for a race swap then please email our race secretary (Lynda) providing your name and the following details for the new runner – PLEASE NOTE ALL RACE SWAPS MUST REACH THE RACE SECRETARY BY NO LATER THAN 11:00 (11am) ON SATURDAY 1st JULY 2023 (after this it is too late to get details to the chip timing company):
