- Provide the best training possible for our members, taking into account all abilities.
- Take steps to increase our coaching provision
- Continue to increase the number of trained, active Run Leaders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Improve the structure of Thursdays to become more inclusive and cater for all abilities.
- Investigate opportunities for increasing our track usage and introducing strength training for members.
- Cater for the local community’s running needs wherever possible.
- Review the suitability of our 10 mile race in light of housing developments that compromise the existing route.
- Carry out an annual members’ survey and, where possible, address common suggestions.
- Encourage more member engagement and participation in the running of the club, its races and social events.
- Promote succession planning for future events and committees.
- Ensure that day to day management of the club is as sustainable as possible to facilitate its continued growth.
- Find a sustainable solution for the storage and distribution of club clothing to members.
- Find a sustainable solution for the storage of race equipment.
- Improve outgoing communications to the membership ensuring they are secure and consistent (i.e. use of Mailchimp)
- Improve handling of incoming correspondence to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Increase provision of information available on the website to reduce queries.
- Continue with preparation for an application to become Clubmark accredited. This will involve (amongst other things):
- Development of a three year action plan
- Development of a Welfare Policy (including grievance procedure)
- Completing the England Athletics Inclusive Health Check
- Providing each Run Leader with a basic first aid kit
