Welcome to the Lordshill Road Runners website. We are a friendly and inclusive running club that welcomes runners of all abilities. What makes us special is our comprehensive training format that caters to all abilities and ambitions. We have tailored training sessions suitable for people who just want to get into running and for those who are highly competitive runners; for those of us who like team spirit we make running a team sport by participating in our local leagues. If you are new to the club we do welcome runners of all standards, from complete beginners to enthusiastic competitors. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us and we hope to see you at a training session (or race) soon!

Each year, as a not for profit community based running club, we make charity donations and the certificate received recently shows the donation made from last year's Miles of Miles event to the club's chosen charity in 2023. Lordshillers have made some incredible achievements over recent months!We’ve had two runners performing at international level – Alan Graham for England and Seb Hoenig for Germany:Alan Graham ran the Brighton 10k in November, a great 39:07 qualified Alan to represent England again at the 2024 International Representative Masters 10k in Birmingham. Seb Hoenig put in an exceptional performance at the European Masters Half Marathon Championships in October in Italy, running 71:01 to finish in 6th place overall, 2nd in age category and a gold medal for Germany.There have been many other great achievements at home and abroad:Dave Healey ran a brilliant 2:40:00 at the Berlin Marathon in September, followed by 55:07 at the Great South Run 10M in October.Jack Harfield clocked 2:47:55 at the Yorkshire Marathon in October, a stunning debut.Marion Yeomans has run many great races, including Overton 5M (42:51), Great South Run 10M (85:44 PB), Gosport Half (1:57:41) and New Forest Stinger 10M (95:44).Matt Pillinger has run some exceptional PBs, including 3:10:19 at Abingdon Marathon in October.Siobhan Mintoff made her marathon debut with a fantastic 4:46:03 in Valencia in December.Alan Cooper completed the epic Maxi Race Madeira 100k in 22:59:28.Sammy Morris has raced regularly, with superb times at Ageas Bowl 10k (55:34), Great South Run 10M (95:52), Gosport Half (2:20:14) and Victory 5M (44:22).Richard Cooper has also raced regularly, with great times at Overton 5M (52:50), Great South Run 10M (98:05), Gosport Half (2:20:15), RunThrough Southampton 10k (58:49).Sari Giering has returned to racing at the Victory 5M with an impressive time of 36:01.There are many more great performances out there. 1st Monday back from the 2 week Christmas break and we were treated to a little bit of snow 🌨️.
