As with all races using roads and pavements there are certain hazards to be aware of. We have reduced or removed those hazards that we can. However there will still be uneven surfaces, potholes, bollards and kerbs around the course. There may be a water hazard as you pass under the motorway bridge on station Lane, please be aware of any traffic that may be using the road as you pass it. Through the housing estate in Nursling you will need to cross the road, please follow Marshall directions for safe crossing.
Unfortunately the course is not suitable for buggies or dogs.

Male: 31:16 set in 2014 by Chris Powner – Winchester and District AC
Female: 35:52 set in 2018 by Jen Elkins – Southampton AC.
In accordance with current England Athletics (EA) rules for your safety there are no in-ear headphones allowed due to sections of the course having other road users. This is for your safety, so that you can hear Marshall instructions and warnings clearly. Bone conductor type headphones are permitted, however we advise against use if possible. Any runner wearing headphones will be disqualified from the race.
Race numbers will be collected on the day from Race HQ from 08:00 – 09:20. Race numbers will be displayed on a wall chart and you can head to the desk to collect your number. Please bring your own safety pins to fix your number to your shirt.
On the day
There is plenty of car parking at the Race HQ: Ordnance Survey, Adanac Drive, Southampton, SO16 0AS. We ask you to car share with friends, family and club mates to reduce the environmental impact of 800 entrants.
Due to security restrictions no baggage can be left in the Ordnance Survey building, so we ask that runners leave their baggage in cars or with club mates and spectators if they walk/run/cycle to the event.
All finishers will receive a Lordshill 10K 2019 glass.
Prizes will be awarded to category winners.
We hope to be able to offer post-race massage at Race HQ. More details to come so watch this space.
We will have our own Lordshill Road Runners photographers out on the course again this year. The photos will be available to you for free on our facebook page.
If there is a photo you wish to have removed please contact us with a link to said photo and we will remove it.
Lordshill 10K again intends to be a plastic-free race.
The Lordshill 10k is grateful for our sponsors. Their generous support enables the Lordshill 10k to go ahead.
