Lordshill Road Runners are a friendly and inclusive running club that welcome runners of all abilities. We organise training sessions suitable for all levels of ability on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays almost every week of the year (we usually let the coaches and run leaders have bank holidays off :-)) and many form smaller groups to run with other times during the week.
A large number of our members enjoy parkruns on a Saturday morning, particularly at Southampton parkrun but also at the other local events (Eastleigh, Netley Abbey and Winchester). Sunday sees many of our runners competing in local cross-country league races (CC6 in the winter, RR10 in the summer) and the Hampshire Road Race League.
We are a very friendly club: you’ll find our members congregating to catch up after training, at parkruns, before league races, sometimes even whilst running! There are numerous social events, including the regular “last Monday of the month” trips to the Bellemoor after training, the Christmas Quiz, and the calendar-topping Billy Bash awards ceremony.
Whether you have never run before, are training for your first 5km or your fiftieth or are a seasoned marathon runner, we think we have a place for you our club and that you will enjoy yourself! Why not come along to one of our Monday night training sessions and see how you get on?
