Who are we?
Lordshill Road Runners are a friendly and inclusive running club that welcome runners of all abilities.
We organise training sessions suitable for all levels of ability on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays almost every week of the year (we usually let our Coaches and Run Leaders have Bank Holidays off!) and many form smaller groups to run with at other times during the week.
A large number of our members enjoy parkrun on a Saturday morning, particularly at Southampton parkrun but also at the other local events. Sunday sees many of our runners competing in local cross-country league races (CC6 in the winter, RR10 in the summer) and the Hampshire Road Race League.
We are a very friendly club, there are numerous social events throughout the year including the calendar-topping ‘Billy Bash’ end of year awards ceremony.
Whether you have never run before, are training for your first 5km or your fiftieth or are a seasoned marathon runner, we think we have a place for you in our club and that you will enjoy yourself! Why not come along to one of our Monday night training sessions and see how you get on?
